The medical marijuana market is expanding to serve more than just humans. Now suffering pets can get in on the CBD action as well.
We probably all know a pet dog or cat suffering from health issues. Whether it’s due to seizures, cancer, hip dysplasia, arthritis, gastrointestinal distress, or countless other medical problems, watching your pet suffer is incredibly difficult. Plain and simple, animals can’t communicate their pain as effectively as humans can, so it’s hard to know how to help our furry friends find the relief they need.
While using marijuana to alleviate animal pain is not a new idea, it’s still not able to be widely developed, since federal legality prohibits scientific research, and any new developments are limited to privately funded pharmaceutical companies.
But just like in people, animals’ endocannabinoid system receptors respond positively to cannabinoids, assisting with pain and anxiety relief, and the holistic benefits to cannabis pet health are becoming more documented every day.
Up until now, Cannabidiol (CBD) tinctures for pets have been hemp-based. But LivWell’s Infusiasm CBD Pet Tincture takes pet treatment to the next level, combining 1 mg of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) with 50 mg Cannabidiol (CBD) for a solution that offers the benefits of whole-plant cannabis without making your pet high.
And since the CBD Pet Tincture comes in both salmon and bacon flavors, it’s perfect for adding to your pet’s food or under the animal’s tongue without much of a fuss, per the bottle’s instructions.
What do you think? Have you considered using CBD with your pet dog or cat? Have you seen it bring your pet relief? We’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below!
